Healthy Valentine’s Day Recipes Rooted in Love and Compassion

Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate and express love for each other in different creative ways, most popular are gift giving (flowers, cards, sweet treats) and sharing decadent meals together. As with most national holidays, food is at the center of this celebration.

When healing from chronic illness, or sticking to specific health goals, this can be hard to do. I want you to be able to celebrate without compromising your health. That is why I handpicked 13 different recipes from my repertoire that will support your health and also fit the romantic-and-fun bill.

A Healthy Valentine’s Day Menu That Supports a Healing Lifestyle

Partaking in Valentine’s Day celebrations while living a healing lifestyle takes a little more planning and preparation, and it may look different than what you’re used to, but it is so worth it! Enter my Medical Medium®-friendly, healthy and romantic menu guide! Most of the recipes in this guide are fat-free, made with healing ingredients, and able to hold their own during a meaningful meal with your partner.

These recipes are dairy-free, gluten-free, and egg-free, so you don’t have to sacrifice. I promise that the creations below are as delicious as any conventional meal, and maybe even more so because you know you are truly nourishing yourself whilst eating them. All of my recipes are crafted with lots of flavor so that anyone could appreciate them.

Why These Healthy Valentine’s Day Recipes Work

If you are going to a Valentine’s Day gathering or party, consider bringing the butternut mac and cheese, spicy macadamia cheese spread, or mushroom quiche. For dessert, my strawberries and dairy-free cream are always a hit (they go great with my crepe recipe), and as a bonus they transport well and keep.

Don’t Forget to Enjoy This Holiday

I think it is great that we have an entire day dedicated to expressing love and appreciation- this is so important and Valentine’s Day makes this easy to do. As a practice, though, I always frame my love and appreciation for others through compassion- it gives love so much more meaningful!
