Valentine’s Day is also a day for food! We express love and affection for one another by gifting sweet treats, flowers, and presents and sharing special meals together. While it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of this holiday, it’s important to remember the true foundation of love: compassion.

Celebrating a Health-Supportive Valentine’s Day

You can still partake in Valentine’s Day celebrations while living a healing lifestyle; it may just look a little different. That is why I created a Muneeza-approved healthy and romantic menu guide for this year’s holiday!

Below are 10 recipes that are dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, and whole foods plant-based, so you don’t have to miss out. These recipes are as delicious as any conventional meal, and crafted with lots of flavor so that partners of the chronically ill or health-conscious would enjoy them too.

Why I chose these special Valentine’s Day recipes

These versatile meals are packed with flavor. You can even prepare them with your partner for a special moment before your meal together.

If you are going to a Valentine’s Day party, consider bringing a pasta dish, spring rolls, artichoke dip, and my strawberries and dairy-free cream for dessert (these would go great with the gluten-free French crepes), as they transport well and keep.

If you are spending this holiday alone, don’t worry—you can use this menu guide as inspiration for a special meal for one. There is no reason not to celebrate yourself with a special treat, and to reflect on the beautiful gifts you can give yourself on a day that celebrates love.
