My family is a sucker for a good taco platter and all the fixings. I have to admit, it is one of my favorite meals as well. There are actually so many healing foods involved in the making of a good taco night.
Here are my favorite recipes for a successful taco platter with all the fixings:
Jackfruit Mushroom Taco Meat
The first place to start when making a taco platter is with the taco filling itself. I have perfected my jackfruit mushroom taco meat to what is now a definite crowd pleaser, even for extended family and friends.
As you can see on my Jackfruit Mushroom Taco Meat blog post, this recipe is full of healing foods, including mushrooms, onions, garlic, and tomatoes.
The key is to make PLENTY of this filling – it will go quickly!
Guacamole
No taco platter is complete without guacamole!
We all know avocados are an incredible healing food, it is actually one of the world’s most perfect foods. However, in my guacamole I have a special ingredient that raises the healing factor of this already amazing dish.
I use pomegranate seeds. Not only do these seeds add a powerful flavor burst, but they pack additional nutritional value.
Check out my Guacamole Recipe on my blog and learn more about the healing powers of avocado and pomegranate seeds. It is simple to make and an absolute must for any proper taco platter.
Spicy Tomato Salsa
Salsa is a staple for most Mexican inspired meals, but with this salsa you get an added kick. My spicy tomato salsa has a bit of heat, which you can always reduce if you are sensitive to spice.
Take a look at my Spicy Tomato Salsa blog post for the recipe and to learn all about the healing properties of the tomatoes, onions, and hot peppers that make up the base of this recipe.
Creamy Fat Free Cheese Dip
Hard to believe that these words can be together – creamy, fat free, and cheese seem like they are all contradicting each other. Nonetheless, they perfectly describe another side that is not to be left out when creating a taco platter.
In my Creamy Fat Free Cheese Dip blog post, I not only teach you how to make this incredibly delicious dip, but I also explain why it is actually considered a healing food.
Vegan Three Bean Chili
I created this Vegan Three Bean Chili to remove the meat from the recipe and to support those healing from chronic illness. This recipe pairs very well with all things taco night.
When you are preparing your taco platter and fixings, make sure to include this delicious recipe!
Cashew Cheese Recipe
Cashew Cheese is my kids’ FAVORITE sauce. This is a Medical Medium friendly recipe I have been making for almost 15 years!
Did you know that cashews have a lower fat content than most other nuts? Furthermore, cashews actually offer numerous health benefits. Check out my Cashew Cheese Recipe blog to find the recipe and learn all about the healing powers of cashews.
Taco Shells & Tortilla Chips
Don’t forget this essential ingredient…taco shells and tortilla chips. The ONLY clean brand of taco shells on the market that I have found are the Siete grain free taco shells – make sure you stock up when preparing for taco night! Siete also makes incredible tortilla chips. You can find all of these products in my Amazon Store.
