This hot buffalo wing sauce is a healthier version of Franks’ Red Hot Buffalo Sauce.
The base for this sauce is my Raw Vegan Spicy Hot Sauce Recipe that I have been making for years.

My family is Pakistani, and we love hot, spicy food. So as we embarked on a healing foods diet, my husband said to me, “If you can make all our food spicy and hot, I will likely eat anything.” We both love everything hot and spicy, so as you can imagine, our hot spices, sauces, and powders go everywhere with us!

This sauce adds such an incredible kick you will want to have it on hand to add to other dishes or as a delicious dip for veggies. The best part is all of the amazing healing properties in this hot buffalo wing sauce recipe.

Hot Pepper

Hot Peppers are very healing to the body. They are generally high in vitamin C, and they help a lot with colds, flu, and bronchitis. They also boost circulation (ever seen someone get red in their face after eating a hot pepper?) and help with the heart as well. Hot peppers can help to create hydrochloric acid in the stomach and can stimulate peristaltic motion of the gut – think, have you ever needed to ‘go’ after eating hot peppers?

Cashews

Cashews are great for lowering blood pressure, supporting heart health, preventing gallstones, reducing migraines, providing energy boosts, strengthening bones, and promoting healthy skin and hair. Cashews have a lower fat content than most other nuts. They also support the nervous system. So bringing in this recipe in the form of cashew cheese is not only just dairy free but also provides numerous health benefits!

If you are remaining low-fat or fat-free, I would definitely go easy on this sauce because it is easy to overdo! This is especially applicable to those who are working on healing their livers!

Garlic

The addition of garlic, onions, and cilantro to the avocado makes this dish an incredible powerhouse against pathogens. Not to mention, garlic contains impressive antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-cancer, and anti-viral properties.

Ginger

Ginger contains powerful anti-inflammatory compounds called gingerols that reduce pain, inflammation, and swelling. While ginger is an amazing spice that naturally heals both inflammation and infection, ginger is best known for its incredible ability to heal digestive upset and nausea.

For centuries, ginger has been used to safely ease indigestion, menstrual cramps, motion sickness, and heartburn. Isn’t it amazing that a spice we take for granted to give a warm, deliciously spicy flavor to our foods can contain so many healing properties?

My family is Pakistani, and we love hot, spicy food. So as we embarked on a healing foods diet, my husband said to me, “If you can make all your food spicy and hot, I will likely eat anything.” We both are the same. And our hot spices, sauces, and powders go everywhere with us! I recommend prepping the buffalo wing sauce at the same time as you are making the cauliflower buffalo wings. With it, I pair a Vegan Ranch Sauce as well. For this sauce, you will need a cashew sauce base, and you can use some of the cashew sauce from the Vegan Ranch recipe in this hot buffalo wings sauce as well.

Instructions
 

  • Make Muneeza’s Hot Sauce. Leave it in the blender.
  • Then use the other 1/4 cup of the cashew cheese and add it to the Spicy Hot Sauce in the blender!
  • Add the juice of one whole lime and 2 tsp of chipotle powder.
  • Blend well until thoroughly mixed.
  • Pair with my Cauliflower Buffalo Wings Recipe and Vegan Ranch Sauce Recipe.

Even though I have shared some items that the hot buffalo wing sauce pairs well with, it can honestly go with SO many foods. I even add a teaspoon of the hot buffalo wing sauce to hummus, babaganoush, or pretty much any dish I wish to add a spicy kick to. As a result, this sauce is always in my fridge. When the hot pepper harvest is ample in the fall, I will often make tubs of this sauce and freeze it to use for the rest of the year.
