5 Tips for Radiant Summer Skin Health

It’s summertime!

Everyone’s soaking up the sun, which means we’re all thinking about skin health.

The skin is the largest organ of our bodies. It’s alive and dynamic, and skin health tells us a lot.

“Beauty is only skin deep” tells us to look within for true beauty, and there’s no question that our appearance does not define who we are.

But when it comes to health, our skin is an important messenger of what’s going on inside.

SOLVING THE SKIN MYSTERY

With an unprecedented amount of skin issues plaguing people worldwide, including acne, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, premature aging, sagging skin, under-eye circles, liver spots, and more, millions of people are fumbling in the dark about what’s causing these issues. Skin health is a major concern.

If you were to ask dermatologists about the actual cause of vitiligo, you would likely get yet another false autoimmune diagnosis (the body never attacks itself, this is nothing but a theory).

Most doctors don’t have answers regarding the underlying causes of acne, rosacea, skin rashes, discoloration, and many other conditions.

It’s time to solve the skin health mystery once and for all.

There are real reasons many of us suffer from skin issues, which means there are real ways to heal. Share on X

Below I share five tips to overcome troubling skin conditions with answers on the actual cause of skin struggles.

While true beauty goes deeper than our skin, there is no reason we should have to accept feeling self-conscious due to struggles with skin health.

We all deserve to thrive and feel radiant on the inside and outside.

FIVE TIPS TO RESTORE SKIN HEALTH

1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

There is a dehydration epidemic. The majority of people walk around chronically dehydrated. Our bodies are resilient enough that we may not realize this, but there are tell-tale signs.

If every human being were sufficiently hydrated, the severity of chronic illness worldwide would plummet, and skin health would skyrocket. That’s how crucial hydration is.

Below are some of the most potent hydrating beverages that our Earthly Mother has to offer. Incorporate them into your routine and watch your skin transform.

  • Cucumber juice is the best rejuvenation tonic available, with unique electrolytes that deeply hydrate cells. It’s highly alkalizing, vitamin and mineral-rich, and hugely supportive of flushing toxins. Consume 16 oz of nothing but juiced cucumber daily for best results.
  • Lemon water is a simple yet powerful hydration tool. Squeezing lemon into purified water upon waking is a gift to the liver and body, starting your day with a hydration boost. Use the juice of half of a lemon for 16 oz of water and a whole lemon for 32 oz.
  • Coconut water has one of the highest electrolyte contents of any beverage and is an anti-aging superstar. Another tip is to apply coconut water topically to hydrate and nourish the skin and to aid in healing from burns or irritation.
  • Raw fruits and vegetables contain living water with bioactive nutrients attached to natural glucose designed by Nature to nourish every aspect of our physical health. Incorporating more raw foods into your diet will hydrate your entire body deeply.
Check out the raw foods section of my recipe blog library for inspiration to create delicious healing meals!
  • Leafy greens are another way to get raw foods into your diet. A supercharged hydrating meal consists of a large salad with 4-6 cups of leafy greens heaped with your favorite fruits and raw veggies. One of my favorites is red leaf lettuce with grapes, asparagus, fresh fennel, and a few chopped tangerine slices!
  • Fresh juices like just-squeezed oranges, apples, or blended pears make for a luxurious and delicious hydrating beverage.
Asparagus and apple juiced together is a tasty anti-aging powerhouse. Cilantro, celery, kale, and apple is another wonderful option. Carrot with ginger, orange, and turmeric is a sweet and spicy twist on a popular staple.
  • Watching the raw-to-cooked ratio in your diet is something to remember when considering hydration. Eating only cooked foods requires our bodies to borrow water from our organs.Aiming for a 50-50 ratio is an excellent step.Try eating raw until dinnertime as an experiment, filling your mornings and afternoons with mouth-watering fruit smoothies and flavor-packed salads. Or choose a couple of days of the week to focus on eating raw, and watch your skin health soar.

2. Avoid Dehydrators

If beautiful skin and vibrant health are what you’re after, minimize or altogether avoid the list below. Everything listed here drains our cells of vital water supplies, and reduces skin health.

3. Love your liver

Most skin health conditions are not caused by injury or parasites, like scabies. Skin health is directly related to the liver. The more toxic your liver is, the more likely you’ll develop rashes, sagging, wrinkles, sun spots, and other conditions.

Protecting skin health is an inside job – it’s not just about what we put on the surface. Cleansing to flush the liver of toxic heavy metals, DDT and other pesticides, plastics, petrochemicals, and other harmful daily chemicals supports skin health.

The liver is the body’s filter and one of its most important defense systems. As blood moves through the liver and to the heart and brain, the liver removes as many toxins as possible to protect these sensitive organs.

Over time, the liver gets filled with toxins due to daily exposures that are becoming more common. Unless we’re eating a diet that supports liver health, the liver can’t reach its potential as it performs its duties, which is when symptoms like accelerated aging show up.

Sagging skin, under-eye circles, wrinkles, liver spots, and other signs of aging indicate a struggling or sluggish liver, which plays a massive role in the vitality of our skin health.

By maintaining a regular cleansing practice using powerful liver cleanses like the Medical Medium ® 369 Cleanses – Original, Simplified, and Advanced – we support the liver’s ability to manage and flush toxins.

Cleansing will lead to inner vitality reflecting outwardly in the tone and quality of our skin.

Another major key to liver strength is managing stress. Adrenaline stresses the liver and weakens body systems, directly impacting the health of our skin, teeth, and nails.

Managing stress and grazing throughout the day on high-quality sources of glucose, potassium, and mineral salts helps support the adrenals.

4. Knock out skin-harming pathogens

Some of us need deeper skin support due to severe conditions like cystic acne, eczema, psoriasis, and vitiligo, which are signs of deeper problems in the body.

Traditional medicine doesn’t have answers about the root causes or how to recover. Let’s examine common skin health conditions, their causes, and how to heal.

Eczema & Psoriasis

More than 100 varieties of eczema and psoriasis go by many names, including rosacea, hives, “lupus-style” rashes, and scleroderma.

Everyone’s skin health symptoms are unique because everyone has a unique combination of toxic heavy metals and pathogens inside the liver.

Anthony William, the Medical Medium ®, shares that eczema and psoriasis are primarily caused by one of the over 60 varieties of the Epsteinn-Barr Virus (EBV, also known as the “mono” virus).

EBV is extremely common – almost all of us have been exposed – and when it takes up residence in the liver, it feeds on toxic heavy metals and other toxins the liver has absorbed to protect the brain and body. Herpetic viruses like EBV feed on these toxins and excrete viral waste.

Dermatoxins form from this waste and harm the skin as they leave the liver, enter the bloodstream, and travel to the skin, causing rashes, hives, and itchy, scaly, rough, or irritated skin.

To heal, we must cleanse the body of toxic heavy metals with tools like the Medical Medium ® heavy metal detox smoothie.

Hydrate with healing beverages like daily lemon water, aloe water, cucumber juice, and celery juice which help to flush the liver. Celery juice also destroys viruses.

Cleanse Your Liver to Heal Chronic Illness

Acne

Acne is all about one of the 50 groups of streptococcus bacteria (“strep”).

After a strep infection, the bacteria can make a home in the liver, feeding on toxins and unproductive foods like eggs, dairy, and gluten.

Strep can then enter the lymphatic system. As strep strengthens, it fights to move higher where the skin’s immune system attempts to contain it. If the strep is strong enough, it overcomes the skin’s defenses and appears as acne on the skin’s surface.

Adult acne can almost always be traced back to antibiotics in childhood to combat infections caused by strep, which has become resistant to antibiotics to the point that it consumes them for fuel.

To heal, it’s crucial to remove foods that feed strep, including the ones I mention above (wheat and dairy are essential to avoid), and to cleanse the body of toxins through healing protocols.

To give your liver and immune system a chance to fight back, lower your intake of all dietary fats (meat, eggs, dairy, nuts & seeds, avocados, oils, etc.), and bring in daily celery juice, fruits, vegetables, wild foods, herbs, and spices.

Key supplements to combat strep include goldenseal, vitamin C, zinc sulfate, cat’s claw, lemon balm, and monolaurin.

Vitiligo

Vitiligo, like eczema and psoriasis, involves a virus – usually HHV-6 (human herpes virus) or sometimes EBV – and toxic heavy metals – usually aluminum. The viruses feed on aluminum, traces of formaldehyde, and toxic copper (not the beneficial trace mineral copper).

The viruses then release dermatoxins which injure the cells responsible for skin pigmentation. To overcome vitiligo, follow the eczema and psoriasis guidelines.

For a powerful immune boost to help knock out all common pathogens at the root of skin conditions, read my Core 7 Supplements blog.

Each of these seven supplements will strengthen your body’s ability to overcome the bugs at the root of countless chronic illnesses, including all pathogens which lead to skin health conditions.

5. Eat skin-nourishing foods

If it’s healthy, glowing skin health you’re after, look no further for the fountain of youth than nourishing foods designed to fill your cells with life-giving water to support your beauty inside and outside.

Incorporate beta-carotene-rich foods like mango, carrots, raspberries, sweet potatoes, and papaya to keep skin healthy and glowing. Spinach is a miracle for the skin, as are aloe (taken internally) and celery juice.

Silica is a building block of the body, contributing to the integrity of our skin, hair, nails, bones, and connective tissues.

Foods high in skin-supportive silica are artichokes, kale, and asparagus. Horsetail and nettle are silica-rich herbs that can be juiced or made into a tea that supports healthy bones and skin health.

Fill your day with coconut water, fresh juices, and fresh fruits and vegetables listed in the hydration section above to boost your body’s alkalinity and hydration.

Finally, don’t fear the sun! 10-15 minutes of direct sun daily does wonders for the body, including the skin – enhancing nutrients, supporting the immune system, and contributing to healthy sleep.

Use a natural, non-toxic sunscreen like Everybody Loves the Sun products from Living Librations to ensure you don’t get sunburn.

We should all be free to enjoy our bodies and feel good in our skin. Use the guidance here to overcome skin health struggles so you can embrace a warm day outside feeling your best.

INNER BEAUTY

Inner beauty is about more than just our spiritual and emotional qualities. It’s also about how we care for our physical bodies. In this way, inner beauty directly relates to outer vitality.

As we advance in years, the amount of care we’ve given to our bodies will manifest in how well we age. Share on X

The beautiful thing about our bodies is their resilience. It’s possible to reverse gray hair by healing the adrenals and to revitalize dry or sagging skin by filling the body with hydrating foods and healing our livers.

Skin health does not have to deteriorate with age.

Let your inner beauty extend to what you’re putting inside, and embrace the vibrancy our bodies are designed to express at any age.

To your health and peace,

Muneeza
