How I modify the incredible Medical Medium® Spinach Soup Recipe for my kids

How I modify the incredible Medical Medium® Spinach Soup Recipe for my kids

The Medical Medium® spinach soup recipe is one of the most important healing tools. I want my children to enjoy as many Medical Medium® recipes as possible, but sometimes we have to tweak them slightly so that the girls are on board.

The original Medical Medium® spinach soup recipe was just not creamy enough for my girl’s liking. So, I gave it a little facelift, and that did the trick.

I added avocado and coconut water to make it more palatable for my children. Both of these are incredible healing foods, and the coconut water actually magnifies the nutrients that are already present in the soup…an added bonus. Sometimes, if I don’t have enough coconut water, I will add in more than the recommended amount of orange juice to make it a bit sweeter – which the children always enjoy.

Every single ingredient in this Medical Medium® spinach soup is packed with healing power. There is so much healing power in this recipe that even with a few modifications, it’s worth breaking away from the original recipe as written to allow children to be able to consume more healing foods.

Leafy Greens

Leafy greens are so critical to your health that without enough raw leafy greens in your diet, you will eventually experience health challenges.

Raw leafy greens are an incredible source of elevated biotics. These are the microorganisms that are responsible for creating methylated B12 in your body. Because it is already methylated, the body doesn’t have to do extra work for the liver to be able to accept this form of B12 – it is the most bioavailable form of B12 on the planet. And why is B12 so important? Because the liver used B12 in every single function, it performs.

These elevated biotics also help repopulate your intestinal tract with good gut bacteria. Further, leafy greens sweep the lining of the intestinal system removing bad bacteria, rancid fats and proteins that have gone undigested for years.

Leafy greens are extremely rich in trace minerals and mineral salts.

“…for our bodies to function optimally, we need to have enough mineral salts in our diets. Leafy greens such as spinach provide bioavailable forms of potassium, sodium, and chloride that mean everything when it comes to keeping our systems strong so we can fight off the Unforgiving Four and other invaders.”

-Anthony William, Life-Changing Foods

Spinach is the base of this incredibly healing Medical Medium® spinach soup recipe, but there are so many more healing foods included.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are such a powerful healing food. They contain their own variety of vitamin C that is bioavailable to the liver and lymphatic system. Tomatoes also support the immune system, helping it to remain strong to fight pathogens.

Tomatoes contain fruit acids that help rid sludge from the gallbladder and reduce the size of gallstones, helping to keep the gallbladder healthy. The mineral content in tomatoes is abundant, these can reach the deep inner core of the liver, helping to prevent disease where it commonly begins. Additionally, tomatoes are high in lycopene which is a favorite nutrient of the liver. The liver uses lycopene to prevent cell damage and to help detox red blood cells safely.

“Tomatoes grow at night, under the moonlight, and the liver also responds to moonlight—when it’s a full moon, the liver tends to work harder at cleaning, filtering, and processing in the wee hours of the morning. When organic or heirloom tomatoes are in the diet, the full moon energy that they collected during their growing cycle works with the liver’s ability to cleanse.”

Celery

Celery is such a powerful herb Anthony dedicated an entire book to it’s miraculous healing ability; Celery Juice, The Most Powerful Medicine Of Our Time. Here are 10 of this herbs critical health benefits:

Muneeza Ahmed

Avocado

Avocado is one of the most perfect foods.  It contains over 25 essential nutrients, including iron, magnesium, and essential fatty acids.  Furthermore, avocado is easily digested and increases the body’s ability to assimilate nutrients.

In addition, avocados are high in glutathione which boosts the immune system, strengthens the heart, helps rebuild the nervous system, and slows down the aging process.  Moreover, this incredible food also helps to steady blood sugar levels because the monounsaturated fats contained in the avocado reverse insulin resistance.

Did you know that an avocado is one of the closest foods to a mother’s breast milk? It has protein ratios that are equal to breast milk.

Garlic

The addition of garlic, onions, and cilantro to the avocado makes this dish an incredible powerhouse against pathogens.  Not to mention, garlic contains impressive antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-cancer, and anti-viral properties.

“One raw crushed clove of garlic contains the antibiotic equivalent of 100,000 units of penicillin and has been proven to be more effective than both penicillin and tetracycline in suppressing certain types of disease-carrying agents.”

Anthony William, Life-Changing Foods

Oranges

Oranges have been dubbed the “perfect food” as they contain many different healing vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and phytonutrients.

“Oranges have been known to help prevent cancer, lower high blood pressure, fight off viral infections, relieve constipation, keep bones and teeth strong, prevent kidney stones and macular degeneration.”
-Anthony William, Life-Changing Foods

They are also beneficial to the digestive tract and help remove toxic build-up from the colon by enhancing peristaltic action.

In addition, oranges are high in glutathione which is critical for liver health and healthy eye and lung function. Furthermore, they are very healing for respiratory and cardiovascular issues.

Best of all, oranges serve as an internal antiseptic as they can purify and strengthen every organ in the body.

Cilantro

Cilantro is such a powerful herb that I have an entire blog dedicated to it. Check out my Let’s Talk About CILANTRO! blog to learn all about the healing powers of this incredible herb. Plus, you will get a bonus recipe – Heavy Metal Guacamole Recipe is included in this blog.

Coconut

Coconuts are a life-changing food. Medical Medium states in his book, Life-Changing Foods, that “coconuts enhance the power of anything they touch,” which means, when combined with healing foods, coconut supercharges those benefits. Coconut water is very similar to human blood. Coconuts help with insomnia by providing the right blend of mineral salts for neurotransmitter production in our brains. “Coconut meat is highly antipathogenic,” and “when coconut drops from the stomach into the intestinal tract, it kills off any pathogen it touches.”

I hope you and your children enjoy these modifications to the original Medical Medium® spinach soup recipe.
