This Mango Cherry Sleep Smoothie is particularly helpful during a full moon week.  Because the coconut water in it can also help you sleep better during the full moon.

Mangos and cherries make the perfect combination not only in flavor, but also in nutritional content to help calm the nervous system down and help you sleep!

NUTRITIONAL POWERHOUSE

How will this smoothie help you sleep?

According to @medicalmedium mangos contain a special kind of magnesium that helps your nervous system to relax, and cherries contain natural melatonin. Every time we make this smoothie for the family before bed time, my entire crew says ‘Mama, we slept SO well’.

Coconut water is an excellent base for any smoothie because it increases the nutritional benefits of any food it is blended with.

ENHANCED SUPPLEMENT EFFECTS

If you use magnesium glycinate ALONG with melatonin by Vimergy the fruit in this smoothie enhance the effects of these supplements. Because these supplements help to relax the nervous system, the smoothie and supplements together can help alleviate anxiety and anxiousness. You can have the smoothie during the day to help with these symptoms.

If you suffer from depression add in some orange juice to the smoothie to bring in liquid sunshine into your body.

Course Drinks

Ingredients
  

  • 8 kent mangos (or any other mangos available)
  • 3 Cups coconut water
  • 3 Cups frozen cherries
  • 1 tbsp honey, maple syrup or dates (for extra sweetness)
  • 2 stalks celery sticks (for mineral salts)

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to the blender for about 45 seconds and serve immediately.

Notes

If you want the two tone effect shown in the picture, blend the mangos, coconut water & celery first. Pour into a glass.  Then blend the cherries and maple syrup and pour on top. This is a fun take especially for kids.
