Rice Paper spring rolls are such a fun summer recipe! They make for easy finger food. They are light and offer a fun, creative way to get veggies into your kids and family members…plus they are a great way to engage your children in making their own food.
What are rice paper wrappers?
Rice paper wrappers are super thin wraps traditionally made from rice flour, water and salt. They can be filled with almost anything. Since rice paper wrappers are so thin and almost translucent, you can see whatever is inside.
Here are three of our favorite variations and rice paper fillings:
- Asian Coleslaw with Spicy Peanut sauce (can be made nut-free)
- Asian stir fry with Korean Sweet Potato Noodles
- Mango Salsa Spring Rolls

Spicy Peanut Dipping Sauce Ingredients
- 4-6 Tbsp Salt-free peanut butter
- ½ cup Orange juice
- 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 3 Tbsp coconut aminos
- ½ tsp chipotle powder
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together to create a delicious creamy dipping sauce for your slaw-filled spring rolls.
- If you are nut-free and cannot do peanuts or tree nuts, I suggest using my Spicy Tahini dressing as a dip for this spring roll.
What if I’m nut-free?
If you are nut-free and cannot do peanuts or tree nuts, I suggest using my Spicy Tahini dressing as a dip for this spring roll.
What if I’m fat-free?
If you are choosing to be fat-free while healing chronic symptoms, I recommend leaving out the peanut butter from the sauce. The rest of the ingredients, whilst not creamy, do make a delicious dipping sauce all on their own.
All the fillings here are already fat-free, whether Asian Coleslaw, Mango Salsa or the Korean Sweet Potato Noodles filling! And all three are delicious. You won’t even notice that these are fat-free.
