Typically sev is deep fried. Here is a super clean and healthy baked version - snacking sev.  You can snack on this as it is, or you can use it as a topping on chaat.

Ingredients

  • Mix all ingredients until it forms a dough.
  • Add the water to the dough little by little, and feel free to add a little more water if the dough is too dry. Make sure your dough is not too wet, though.
  • Once the dough is formed, you can form it into long strips and bake for 20 minutes at 400 F. 
  • Once baked, you can break the strips up to sprinkle on top of Chaat or on top of a salad. Also great for snacking!

3 tbsp coconut milk
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/8 tsp asafoetida
1/4 red chili powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp ajwain powder
1/4 cup water

 

Directions

Mix all ingredients until it forms a dough.
