Are you among the millions of people who deal daily with skin issues such as warts, molluscum, and acne? Do you feel self-conscious and want to cover up in the summertime, so people don’t see your imperfections?
These skin issues have become all too common. Let’s explore the actual root cause of each and learn what you can do to heal. Knowledge is power – it’s time to take your power back, break free from the cycle of pharmaceuticals that only mask the problem while also contributing to it, and learn how to finally heal!
Warts
Warts are a widespread skin issue – from childhood to adult; people are plagued with unsightly warts. They seem to arise out of the blue, and even dermatologists are unaware of their true root cause.
The truth is that warts result from an overburdened liver filled with toxins along with a pathogen from the herpetic family. The viral component compounds the problem, by feeding on those toxins and excreting new, more potent toxins.
While warts can be treated topically, they will likely return, and it can become like a game of wack-a-mole. However, when you get to the root of the problem and begin to heal your liver, it is possible to get rid of warts altogether.
Topical treatment for warts:
- Smash a basil leaf and apply it onto the wart, then cover with a bandaid. Change this twice daily, and the wart will be history in no time. This works especially well for plantar warts.
- Apply calendula cream/salve a few times a day.
- Lemon juice applied to the wart multiple times a day.
- For some other types of warts, a topical application of black walnut tincture can work as well.
Molluscum
Molluscum appear as small raised pink lesions with a dimple in the center. They are wart-like in appearance and typically affect children and teenagers.
There are two herpetic viruses that can create molluscum rashes – HHV10 and HHV11. Although there is no nerve damage, molluscum rashes can be itchy and somewhat painful, depending on your virus strain. It is common to run a slight fever before breaking out in a molluscum rash.
Topical treatments for molluscum:
- Coconut oil can provide some relief for the itching. It is perfect for keeping the skin hydrated.
- Tea tree oil can help reduce the symptoms and appearance of molluscum.
- Taking a colloidal oatmeal bath can help reduce the itchiness and soothe the rash.
- Oral treatment can involve high doses of vitamin C and boosting the immune system to finally get rid of this pesky virus from our bodies.
Acne
Unfortunately, we all know what acne looks like. Acne is one of the most common skin issues facing teens and young adults today. There is a lot of misinformation about this particular skin issue. Often we are told that it is hormonal and that it’s due to trapped sebum oils – neither of which is true.
While acne can flare during monthly menstruation, this is actually due to the reduced immune system at that time. During menstruation, a female’s immune system goes to her menstrual cycle to potentially protect a baby. Thus, any underlying symptoms will flare during this time.
The true cause of acne is streptococcus. Strep can hide in the liver and lymphatic system, remaining dormant until it finds the perfect opportunity to attack. A decreased immune system or an abundance of stress provides that perfect opportunity for strep to attack.
Many children have been given multiple rounds of antibiotics before they reach their pubescent years. These antibiotics are actually a favorite food of strep and one of the liver’s greatest enemies.
When strep sits in the liver of a child and the child goes into puberty, and the immune system drops substantially, strep releases itself out of the liver, heading up to the lymphatic system and to the derma. It sits there, causing the start of what will become acne. The body creates all the sebum oil to try to protect itself, to trap the bacteria and stop acne from surfacing and getting too high up through the derma.
The cysts associated with the symptoms of acne are a sign of a strep infection sitting in the liver and traveling up through the lymphatic system to the dermis looking for food.
When healing acne, it is critical to be patient and consistent.
Topical treatments for acne:
- Aloe vera is excellent for soothing the skin and helping to reduce the appearance of acne as it is a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.
- Organic raw honey has been used for ages to help treat skin conditions as it contains many antioxidants that can help clear clogged pores.
- Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, therefore it can help to kill the bacteria causing acne. Furthermore, its anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce swelling and redness.
Healing The Root Cause
Although topical treatments can provide temporary relief, what you really want to do is heal the root cause. Whereas the skin issues listed above are all different, the root cause treatment is the same!
The very first thing you need to do in order to begin healing, is stop feeding the pathogens that are causing the skin issue.
What foods feed pathogens?…EGGS, DAIRY, wheat/grains containing gluten, corn, soy, canola oil, and natural flavors are some of the heaviest hitters.
Removing these foods will go a long way to healing any skin condition.
- Bring in healing foods such as:
- Celery Juice
- Wild Blueberries
- Aloe Vera
- Papaya
- Mango
- Apples
- Apricots
- Berries
- Cherries
- Lemons & Limes
- Melons
- Oranges
- Asparagus
- Leafy Greens
- Garlic
- Onions
- Chaga
You can’t go wrong with fruits, vegetables, and wild foods; they will all help to heal!
Supplements will help move the healing needle even further. You will want to be on an anti-viral regimen for all of the skin issues listed above. The best place to begin is with the Core 7. These include Zinc, B12, L-Lysine, Micro C, Lemon Balm, Cats Claw, and Licorice Root. You can also add in Curcumin and Goldenseal (which is particularly helpful for strep).
