Another recipe coming your way – called Aloo Masala, aka Pakistani Potato Masala. Give those potatoes some SPICE next time! 🌶
This dish is wholesome and superbly delicious – a great filling for wraps, or to eat on its own.
⠀
Recipe⠀
⠀
1 red onion, chopped ⠀
4 cloves garlic, minced ⠀
1 green hot pepper, chopped ⠀
8 Medium potatoes, diced ⠀
2 tbsp mustard seeds ⠀
2 tbsp cumin seeds ⠀
1 tbsp turmeric powder ⠀
1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped ⠀
1/2 lemon juiced ⠀
Salt to season ⠀
⠀
Method ⠀
⠀
Lightly sauté garlic and onions in some coconut oil. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and green chilis. Once those are sautéed for about 5-6 minutes, add in the potatoes and turmeric. Cook through, stirring frequently until soft and then take off the heat. Then once a little cooler add cilantro and lemon juice on top. ⠀
These would pair well with my delicious wrap recipe, a great alternative to regular naan bread / tortilla-style bread.

Hi, simple question but do you have to boil the potatoes before adding them to frying pan?
Calum it is best to steam them.
The recipe looked lovely and I just made it and its a bit bland, tasteless, maybe the mustard seeds? I used black mustard seeds?
what else could go wrong? 🙁
Sounds delicious!
Thanks!
I’m making this next week! Yum!
LMK how it turns out!!!
Just made this for my lunch…it’s cooling down in the fridge.
Have you have any recipes for beautiful tomatoes?…it’s summer here in Australia so I’m growing my own tomatoes.
Thanks
Yes, I have a tomato herb dressing recipe coming up.
