Asparagus-apple juice is a super simple recipe and one of the most healing juices you can have. It is a powerhouse against all chronic illnesses…including cancer.
Like most people, I don’t have a ton of time to spend juicing every day – not to mention cleaning the juicer. So when I do juice, I want my juices to really pack a powerful punch and be as simple as possible. This juice fits that bill. Let’s take a look at what both asparagus and apples bring to the table to make this such a healing tonic.
Asparagus
Asparagus can be considered a fountain of youth – it is truly an anti-aging wonder. The propulsive energy stored within asparagus that helps it shoot out of the ground, is actually transferred to us when we eat it. This energy not only helps to keep us young, but it also helps with recovery and prevention of neurological issues.
The chlorophyll and lutein in asparagus are critical organ cleaners – going deep within the organs to remove harmful toxins. When this chlorophyll binds to amino acids such as glutamine, threonine, and serine, it provides an avenue for heavy metal detox.
In addition, asparagus contains actual toxin inhibitors. Meaning, once toxins such as pesticides, heavy metals, DDT, and radiation (the unforgiving four) have been purged from the organs, there are specialized phytochemicals (toxin inhibitors) that stay behind and repel new toxins from entering. For this reason, asparagus is an incredible cancer-fighting tool.
Asparagus is also incredibly supportive to the adrenal glands as it is high in silica and many trace minerals such as iron, zinc, and magnesium to name a few. Furthermore, asparagus is one of the most alkalizing foods on the planet as it flushes out unproductive acids. Keeping our bodies alkaline is critical for thriving in today’s world. Everywhere we turn, we are enticed to consume acid-forming foods that perpetuate sickness and disease in our bodies. We would do best to remember how simple and delicious asparagus can be, and choose to eat that instead.
Apples
Apples have incredible anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce your viral and bacterial load. The phytochemicals in apples are quite literally brain food – feeding neurons and increasing electrical activity. In addition, they contain phytochemicals that are responsible for heavy metal and radiation detoxification, as well as glutamine and serine – amino acids that help remove MSG from the brain. A true brain food!
Red apples, in particular, are a very alkaline fruit that has the ability to quench thirst on a cellular level by providing living water to support the liver’s ability to hydrate.
Equally important, the fruit acids in apples (both malic and tartaric acids) help cleanse the liver by dispersing toxic films that build up inside the liver’s storage banks. Furthermore, apples starve out bacteria, yeast, mold, other funguses, and viruses from the liver. This makes red apples an incredible liver detoxifier.
