On April 28th I started an Advanced 369 cleanse with the intention of repeating it over the summer. Since then, for over 100 days, I have been doing 7-8-9 day repeats back-to-back. This is a powerful cleansing technique Anthony William recommends for weight loss in his book, Cleanse to Heal. It helps you restore and heal your body on a deep cellular level, which allows your body to disperse of fat cells bound to toxins, shift edema, compacted stool, and water weight as well as the plethora of poisons that we are exposed to. I have chosen to practice this technique so that I am juicing every third day and staying in a heightened state of detoxification.
Over the course of my life, I have had 147 courses of antibiotics, many rounds of steroids, toxic heavy metal exposure, a poisonous spider bite that almost killed me, and these poisons have been sitting in my liver. Overall, focusing on longer 369s will help you move the needle on your health and target getting deeper poisons out of your liver. I have been trying to shift my weight, a symptom of liver issues, and up until now nothing has worked…that was until I started the Advanced 369 cleanse repeating days 7,8, and 9. By day 51 of this cleanse I had already lost 23 pounds!
Since being on this cleanse, my skin is improved, my eyes are brighter, I am sleeping better than ever, I have more energy, and I feel lighter in my body- to date, I have lost 30 pounds! I can feel my liver symptoms and adrenals healing on this cleanse. Within 2 weeks my sleep issues disappeared completely, and my deep sleep has doubled. My experience has been so positive that I wish that other people could experience longer 369s as they really help shift your symptoms.
Howerver, do not despair if you feel like a full 9-day cleanse is too much for you to accomplish, as you heal more you will eventually be able to. It is important to start small and build your healing tools until you can accomplish a full 9-day Original, Simplified, or Advanced 369 Cleanse. The more toxic you are the slower I recommend going. For some people that might mean starting with cucumber juice before celery juice and working your way up, or reducing your fats and healing your nervous system.
Detailed below is my daily routine, how I approach my juice days (day 9s), information on supplements, how I am using watermelon juice to my benefit, my exact meal plan, detox reactions, and how I am cleansing long-term successfully.
Whether you do multiple rounds of the 3:6:9 Cleanse in a row or you take breaks in-between, repeating the cleanse is beneficial. Back-to-back repeats of the cleanse, or repeats of the cleanse with just a few days in between, are useful for deeper health conditions. These are people who need to cleanse a toxic, stagnant, sluggish liver overburdened with viruses, bacteria, toxic heavy metals, colognes, perfumes…and so forth…Doing the 3:6:9 Cleanse over and over can be tremendously helpful in these cases.

The Advanced 369 Cleanse- My Daily Routine
- 6:30 AM I have my liter of lemon water
- 7:00 AM I am drinking 32oz of celery juice
- 7:30 AM I have 32oz of watermelon juice- in the summertime it is not possible for me to cleanse and feel hydrated without watermelon juice in the morning. This is a valuable tool for me.
- Typically for breakfast I have the Advanced Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie from Brain Saver
- For lunch, I have a spinach soup and a bowl of cucumber noodles with tomatoes, sprouts, and other ingredients from the evening salads, which helps satisfy my craving for mineral salts during the day
- Because I am doing repeats of days 7-8-9, after lunch I have my second celery juice of the day and feel a really strong cleansing effect from it. I often feel like I have to go to the bathroom afterwards.
- During the afternoon, I have my 3 apples, and if I work out and need more calories, I will typically make a Liver Rescue Smoothie. I have been working out about 3 times a week. If I don’t have papaya to make it I will have another heavy metal detox smoothie! 1-2x a week I will have some dates if I feel like i need them, but I have been feeling satisfied without them.
- I have been having the cauliflower and greens dinner option almost every night. Sometimes I eat it with nori, sometimes without; it just depends on how I feel. I also add raisins to it occasionally as well hot peppers.
- Unless I have forgotten or my day has gone too long, I have my lemon water and tea. Sometimes I just genuinely forget to take them, though!
Mango is in season, and I love to add this fruit to my food! I will add mango to my spinach soup and Liver Rescue Smoothie so I can have more of that flavor.
My Juice Days
I like to keep my day 9s as simple as possible, as I am having a juice day every 3 days! I have my lemon water and celery juice in the morning, then throughout the day I have my 2 cucumber apple juices, 2 watermelon juices, 2 orange juices, and if I can find a good papaya I will have that as well. Then of course at night, lemon water and tea per the cleanse guidelines.
At the end of a juice day and going into the next morning, I find that my tongue is quite coated with a layer of white gunk and mucous that is coming out. I can appreciate this because it’s one of the ways that you can visually see the body cleansing itself.
Keys to Success
- I am finding that if I get behind on food I struggle, or if I don’t start my day promptly with liquids I am faced with challenges. As long as I get my drinks and food in early enough I will feel properly set up for the day. Your body is doing a lot of work cleaning up, and not eating enough calories will significantly impact the type of cleanse you will experience. Because I am working out, I have to pay extra attention to eat more during the afternoon.
- I also have to remember to drink enough water on this cleanse, so I am drinking 32oz of water regularly in between my AM and PM lemon waters. This makes a huge difference to my energy levels. I actually feel brighter doing this because fresh filtered water, which is not lemon water, can be really helpful! Anthony talks about this in Cleanse to Heal, and says you should get water in as it flushes out the poisons and helps you feel less thirsty. Even though you are eating completely raw, vegan, fat, and salt free, you are cleansing so deeply that it is easy to become dehydrated.
Key points to note are that you shouldn’t let yourself become dehydrated or under-caloried for any reason, as those are often the reasons that a cleanse will fall apart for people and they have a bad experience while they’re on it. Even if you are eating exactly per the guidelines you have to keep an eye out for whether you need more quantity of food to prevent hunger and to prevent weakening the adrenals.
Supplements
When you are cleansing your supplements will go A LOT farther for you. This is in great part because you are eating a low to non-fat diet with a lot of raw fruits and vegetables, which means that your body is working more efficiently and your supplements absorb deeper into your organs. That being said, I have lowered my supplements because I don’t feel that I need the same amount. I used to take 8-10 droppers of zinc, and now I am on 3-4 droppers. To increase supplement absorption it would be best to have them with glucose or coconut water. Coconut water increases the absorption of all nutrients by up to 50%.
My Wish For You
If you have struggled with your symptoms I cannot recommend starting a 369 cleanse enough! And if you have the opportunity to, finding a way to make it a longer term cleanse will help shift the needle on deeper symptoms. For some people who are worried that doing cleanses back to back will bring on too rapid of weight loss, you can try repeating days 1-6 back-to-back. Remember that if you have more intense symptoms it is very beneficial to do consecutive cleanses, but it is overall more important to regularly schedule a 369, whether that’s once every month or three months.
