INSIGHT & INTUITION: MEDICINE FOR TODAY'S WOMAN

Intuition – It’s Within ALL of Us

Intuition – It’s Within ALL of Us

According to Anthony William, Medical Medium, a woman’s intuition is far more powerful than that of a man’s and that it is what makes women really powerful. We hear “intuition” being thrown around, and I am not sure that most people truly understand the meaning and definition of it.

In this article, I want to help you understand what intuition is, how people can experience it, what expands and strengthens intuition, and how to tell when something is NOT coming from intuition.

What is intuition?

Intuition is an ability to know things that are not derived from an obvious place in our physical reality. We ALL have intuition. Just like we are all born with eyes, ears and fingers; we are all born with intuition.

Intuition is something you have been likely using your whole life without being aware of it. Anthony William, Medical Medium, says in his first book, for example, that our intuition about what we are allergic or sensitive to is far greater than what any doctor or medical testing can tell us. So it is really important to listen to our bodies. He also talks about how accurate a mother’s intuition is in knowing when there is something wrong with her child and when something deeper is going on.

How do we experience intuition?

Our intuition is heightened to the maximum of our ability when:

  1. Our bodies are lower in or free from toxins.
  2. Our soul wounds are healed.
  3. Our heart blocks and emotional blocks are cleared.
  4. Our spirits or will can take action that is in alignment with our bodies, souls & hearts.
  5. We can embody all of the above and actually step into our own strength and power and understand that we have a big say in our own lives  – that we are truly empowered.

Everything we experience in our bodies is rooted in the physical, even those experiences that do not seem tangible enough to be connected to our biochemistry, like our emotions or intuition.

Our bodies are the conduit of energy, of light, and of life force. Our bodies carry our souls, in our brains. It’s more than just the physical parts of our bodies that make us human. But in reverse, everything we experience no matter how intangible is somehow communicating to us THROUGH our bodies. So there has to be a physical mechanism in our bodies that allows that communication to happen.

For intuition, that physical mechanism resides in the nervous system and brain.

I invite you to pause for a moment and think about how sickness affects us. We know that viruses attack our liver and our nervous systems. If the fulcrum of connection between physical and non-physical reality is our nervous system, and with this system under attack, how well are we able to connect to our intuition?

Imagine needing to travel on a bumpy dirt road and getting stuck in a ditch and not being able to move out of that. Now imagine that same road newly paved, making for a smooth ride and getting to your destination without any hiccups. This is very similar to how your intuition travels as well. On a dirt path (think: damaged nervous system), it gets hinged and stuck and answers are harder to access. On a paved path (think: healed and healthy nervous system), the messages travel clearly and smoothly and answers become much easier to access. On both paths, you can still access intuition, but for one you have to work harder and for the other, the answers can be quick, clear and easily accessible.

In order for your intuition to work better for you, not only do you have to have a clear path for it, but it also helps to know you can trust and walk down that path. A healthy brain, nervous system, and gut are of utmost importance for our intuition to work at its highest level.

What expands or strengthens intuition?

Since we experience intuition through our bodies, it is important to heal our bodies in order to experience intuition more readily. So removing toxins from our bodies and healing our guts, adrenals, and nervous systems are of the utmost importance when tapping into intuition. (I will go into this further in my next blog post.)

But, as we know, there is more to us than just our bodies. The most powerful way to build intuition is to connect to our souls, hearts, and spirits. When you clear any blocks you have in those areas, your intuition becomes razor sharp. (I will be sharing blog posts on the soul, heart, and spirit soon – so watch out for those.)

Eating raw, living foods helps to strengthen and deepen your intuition. Part of this is due to soul-cleansing cofactor water. Remember that Anthony tells us in Life Changing Foods that there are two types of water in produce – hydrobioactive and cofactor. The hydrobioactive water holds the nutrients that support our health. The cofactor water helps restore our hearts and souls and support our emotions – it feeds us spiritually and emotionally.

Intuition can be deepened in other ways as well. Spend time in nature. Take part in things that bring you joy. Pay attention to the messages and thoughts that come through when you may not be actively listening. Strive to stay in the light – repeat the word light over and over again. Pray in a way that feels right to you. These are all ways that you can deepen your intuition.

What you consume can also have a positive effect on your connection to intuition. Drink living water (spring water). Eat foods like spirulina, wild blueberries, nettles, and apricots, which all enhance your intuition. Indulge in papaya to support your nervous system and improve those pathways that connect you to your intuition.

When is it NOT intuition?

One really key and important point I would like to bring up here is that where most people get tripped up with intuition is not realizing the difference between what comes from intuition truly versus something that is stemming from our wounding or our fear. If it is coming from fear, it is NOT intuition.

Please take a moment now for an exercise that will help you differentiate between fear and intuition. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine a stressful situation. Feel where you feel the stress in your body and write it down. Stand up and stretch. Then close your eyes again and think of a person who brings you great joy. Feel where you feel the sensations for that connection in your body. Write down what you discover.

Fear feels contracted, tight, tense, and stressed. Intuition feels open, compassionate, and expansive. Intuition shows up as a solid, calm energy. It is important to learn how you individually experience your intuition. Journaling can help with this.

Another time it is not intuition is when we have strong cravings for foods like eggs, pizza or pastries, for example. The only craving that is a REAL nutritional need is the craving for good, clean glucose or carbohydrates and this one must be adhered to by feeding the body what Medical Medium calls “Critical Clean Carbohydrates.” Also, when we crave salty foods, it is not our intuition telling us that it is O.K. to add salt to our food or indulge in potato chips. But rather, our body is communicating that we are lacking in minerals and need more of those as well as more calories in our diet. In short, we have to learn what our cravings actually mean, rather than indulging the feeling that shows up in the body as “listening to intuition” – which most of the time, it is not.

I hope this article has provided clarity for you around this important topic. Integrating the tips I’ve presented here will help connect you more deeply to your intuition. Remember that intuition is available to all of us; it is within each of our grasps to tap into and doing so can provide incredible insight while we travel on our healing paths.

I am teaching about deepening your intuition through healing the body, soul, heart and spirit in my upcoming retreat in Costa Rica. Strengthen Your Nervous System to Strengthen Your Intuition

In my previous post on intuition, I discussed the importance of having a healthy nervous system so that there are clearer pathways for your intuition to run along. I gave the metaphor of a bumpy, dirt road (damaged nervous system) versus a smooth, paved road (healed and healthy nervous system). On both paths, you can still access intuition, but for one you have to work harder and for the other, the answers can be quick, clear and easily accessible. Of course, we all would prefer an intuition that runs along the second path.

So what makes for a healthy nervous system?

When you are healing your nervous system, there are a couple important considerations. The first being, of course, your viral load. We know that herpetic viruses, like EBV, can attack the central nervous system and cause a variety of symptoms, such as neurological fatigue, anxiety, neuropathy, tingles and numbness, and so on…

So your first step is to bring down your viral load. To do this, it is of vital importance that you remove food for viruses. Yes, viruses eat – they thrive on certain foods, toxic heavy metals, and other toxins in the environment. When healing your nervous system, you need to reduce your exposure to these things.

Step 1 – Clean up your diet. (Check out Medical Medium book 1, chapter 19 “What Not to Eat” for detailed information regarding this list.)

Stop eating the following:

  • Corn
  • Soy
  • Processed beet sugar
  • Eggs
  • Dairy
  • Pork
  • Farmed Fish
  • Gluten
  • MSG
  • Natural flavors
  • Artificial flavors
  • Artificial sweeteners
  • Citric acid

Stop taking these supplements:

  • L-Carnitine
  • Glandular supplements
  • Whey protein
  • Fish oil supplements
  • Iron supplements

Step 2 – Clean up your environment to reduce your exposure to toxins.

Step 3 – Fight viruses by bringing in life-changing foods and healing supplements recommended by Anthony William in “Medical Medium,” “Life-Changing Foods,” and his other books.

Step 4 – Reduce stress and cultivate calm and peace in your life.

Reducing stress is a big item when addressing your viral load and neurological health. Stress prompts toxic adrenaline to flow, which affects your neurological health, adrenal health, gut health… It’s just plain bad for your health!

Let’s talk about your adrenals!

Poor adrenal health and tapped out adrenals prevent us from being in touch with our intuition. The corrosive and toxic adrenaline does not allow our intuition to work effectively. Our intuition needs for us to be calm and grounded to work best.

Think about that paved road again. If acid were to drench the road, how smooth do you think it would be? When our nerves become sensitized to adrenaline from repeated exposure, our CNS becomes sensitive resulting in multiple symptoms and a hypersensitivity to any stress or pressure.

Bringing calm and grounding into your daily routine will go a long way toward repairing your neurological system, adrenals, and gut.

How is the gut related to intuition?

People who have a hypersensitive CNS also tend to have a hypersensitive gut. Why is this? One reason is that they tend to release adrenaline more often in trying to navigate their surroundings to avoid triggers. If you have chemical sensitivities, then you certainly understand this scenario: Your anxiety is heightened → this increases your adrenaline → adrenaline can saturate and mildly scorch intestinal linings → nerves in intestinal linings become inflamed. Why does this matter when we are talking about intuition?

Remember in the last blog post that I mentioned that the most powerful way to build intuition is to connect to our souls, hearts, and spirits. Well, we know from Anthony William that your gut houses much of your spirit. Connecting to your intuition becomes much harder when you have poor gut health.

Our body, spirit, soul, and heart are all connected – when they are all working in harmony, our intuition soars. I will go into talking about the spirit, soul, and heart in a series of blog posts coming up. But for now, the bottom line is that if you strengthen your nervous system, adrenals, and gut, YOU WILL STRENGTHEN YOUR INTUITION.
