INSIGHT & INTUITION: MEDICINE FOR TODAY'S WOMAN

Hidden Sources Of MSG

Hidden Sources Of MSG

We all know MSG (monosodium glutamate) is toxic and does not belong in our food, but did you know there are many hidden sources of MSG?

Basically, you could be eating MSG and not know that you or your kids are also eating MSG!

With the advent of food labeling and the education that is available about the toxicity of certain chemicals in food, the industries need a way to hide what they’re doing. Thus, the renaming game began.

What Is MSG?

Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is a food additive that is used in countless products and restaurant dishes. MSG is a salt that occurs naturally in glutamic acid (a non-essential amino acid). However, in its additive form, there is nothing natural about the damage it can do.

“MSG typically builds up in your brain, going deep into your brain tissue. It can then cause inflammation and swelling, kill thousands of your brain cells, disrupt electrical impulses, weaken neurotransmitters, burn out neurons, make you feel confused and anxious, and even lead to micro-strokes. It also weakens and injures your central nervous system.”

Anthony William, Medical Medium,
Secrets Behind Chronic & Mystery Illness

Why Is MSG Added To Foods?

MSG serves a very nefarious purpose for industrial food companies as a flavor enhancer. This additive is purely used to increase food cravings, irresistibility, and addiction. Flavor enhancers, such as MSG, trick your brain into eating more than you should. Furthermore, it is linked to migraines, obesity, depression, anxiety, mental disorders, and much more!

If you have any illness that involves your brain or central nervous system, MSG is particularly harmful as it targets the brain.

What To Look For – Hidden MSG

Because MSG is included in so many products, it is imperative that you read food labels. The names under which MSG hides can be pretty overwhelming, so I’m here to take the guesswork out of finding hidden MSG on food labels. Here is a list of what you want to avoid:

Natural Flavors Flavors Nutritional Yeast
Yeast Extract Autolyzed Yeast Extract Brewers Yeast
Hydrolyzed Protein Textured Protein Plant Protein Powders in Flavorings
Whey Protein Soy Protein Soy Sauce
Broth Bouillon Stock
Flavorings Corn Starch Wheat Starch
Barley Malt Malt Extract Modified Food Starch
Gelatin Maltodextrin Disodium Inosinate
Disodium Guanylate Protease Carrageenan
Sodium Caseinate Balsamic Vinegar Prepared Foods

The list is long and overwhelming, which goes to show the lengths to which the industry will go to poison you, without you knowing.

Be vigilant in reading labels so that you can avoid hidden ingredients.

Bottom Line

The bottom line – there is NO acceptable level of chemicals to ingest, EVER!

The food wars are real, and I don’t want you to be a victim. My goal is to educate you so you are armed for battle. And most importantly, so you can teach future generations how to nourish and take care of their bodies. If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness. Let’s choose truthful education and lifelong health!

  1. Thank you so much for writing this. I have switching to more plant based and wanted to try vegan Mac and cheese for my toddler made with nutritional yeast. Thank god I tried it first. I only had just a few bites and immediately got a headache stomach cramps and had to lay down for a few hours. Thank you so much for writing your articles. These are the only ones I found about this information. I knew something was wrong and I’m si glad I didn’t get a chance to let my toddler try it before the symptoms started for me! You’re helping a lot of people and changing the world with this knowledge.

    1. “It’s a food additive produced through bacterial fermentation using a sugar source, which provides a source of energy for the bacteria to consume.” It is unclear whether the sugar source is a GMO source or not. As such, I would personally not trust this ingredient.

      1. Wow thank you for this! So we should never have nutritional yeast or only if it’s a listed ingredient in an ingredient list. Wow i didn’t know about balsamic vinegar. Interestingly my body has not been wanting balsamic vinegar. I used to love it and have it all the time.
