Add the hot water and let the tea steep for 30 minutes or so.
Wait for the tea to cool.
Add the raw honey and the dropperful of lemon balm tincture.
Notes
Fresh lemon balm is not as concentrated as dried lemon balm, so you sometimes need more of the fresh herb than you would of the dried. That is why this lemon balm tea recipe calls for four tablespoons of fresh where one tablespoon of dried would do.I prefer a long steep because it gives the fresh lemon balm or the dried herb time to release into the water. Give it the full 30 minutes in the hot water before allowing the tea to cool and adding the honey and tincture.I also love adding raw honey to this tea on the evenings when the day has been hard, and the honey goes in at the same time as the tincture, once the cup has cooled.
