Delicious Pakora Waffles
Pakora waffles are a favorite in our house. And they are so versatile that they cover any meal of the day.

1 waffle iron
Ingredients
3-4
large onions, sliced into circles, or semi-circles
2
Cups
cilantro, chopped
1
green chili, chopped
1
tsp
cumin powder
1
tsp
coriander powder
1
tsp
garam masala
(make it yourself with
this recipe
)
½
tsp
turmeric
1 ½
Cups
chickpea flour
⅓
Cup
coconut milk
(optional, if fat-free)
¼
Cup
water (if using coconut milk
If not using coconut milk use 1/3 cup water

Instructions
Preheat a non-stick
waffle iron
(I have other waffle irons I also recommend on my
Amazon Store
- check them out and see which one is best for you).
Chop the onions, cilantro, and green chili in a bowl.
Add the
chickpea flour
and the spices.
Add water and
coconut milk
(if omitting the coconut milk just add water in this step).
Use your hand to mix it all together until it forms a paste and the onions are sticking to the flour.
Spoon into the hot waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
Serve with Imli Chutney (Date and Tamarind Chutney) and my low-fat zucchini onion sauce.
