What Is The Truth About Blood Clots?

Have you been hearing a lot about blood clots lately?  I certainly have – countless patients and people in the community concerned about what they’re hearing on TV and social media.  I wanted to take a moment to explain why blood clots form and what we can do to prevent them.

In today’s society everywhere I turn it seems that high fat is being promoted as the pinnacle of health – this could not be further from the truth!

Whether it’s vegan high fat or fats from animal sources – the end result is the same.  A diet high in fat, thickens the blood…and thick blood cannot carry as much oxygen.

Over the years, that fat sticks inside your arteries – it goes inside the heart and lines the heart…the plaque inside people’s arteries is from FAT.

What’s worse?…all fat is toxin soluble!

So every toxin you have ever encountered – from pharmaceuticals, pesticides, herbicides, fragrances, petrochemicals, plastics, heavy metals, etc – get into the fat, and that toxic fat is what is clogging people’s arteries.

What Is The True Cause Of Blood Clots?

  • Elevated blood fat from a diet high in radical fats lacking in omega 3 but high in omega 6.  High blood fat prevents proper blood flow.
  • Fats and fatty acids bind to the walls of the cardiovascular system, narrowing blood vessels. This further obstructs the blood flow.
  • A weakened, dysfunctional liver with weak bile and poor production levels needed to effectively disperse fats in the blood.
  • When foreign particles are introduced into the body in a manner other than the body’s way of processing – via digestion or breathing – the body’s mechanism of clearing is often to clump them or create a clot.
  • When a person gets a viral or bacterial infection in the blood, there is not enough space for the infection to play out naturally.
  • The result is the formation of blood clots.
  • Lack of oxygen in the bloodstream can worsen these infections.
  • Blood clots can move towards the brain, causing a stroke…or to the heart, causing a heart attack.

Why Are Medical Treatments Causing A Surge In Blood Clots?

The answer is a combination of everything we have discussed so far.  High blood fat, sluggish liver, lack of oxygen in the blood, foreign particles being introduced into the body, elevated levels of toxins in the body, and the release of multiple aggressive pathogens are to blame for the surge in blood clots.

This applies to clots that women pass vaginally, as well as all other clots found in any other organ of the body – brain, heart, lungs, etc.

Blood clots are more common in people with severe cases of dirty blood syndrome.

What is dirty blood syndrome?…When the liver becomes so stagnant from years of poor food choices, lack of hydration, and toxin overload, poisons begin to back up in the bloodstream and lymphatic system, thus creating dirty blood syndrome.

The most common symptoms of dirty blood syndrome are:  energy issues, dark under-eye circles, raynaud’s syndrome, gout, varicose veins, inflammation, and insomnia.

What Can I Do To Prevent Blood Clots From Forming?

  • Remove fats from your diet
  • Liver cleanse – refer to the many options in Anthony’s book Cleanse To Heal
  • Bring in celery juice to strengthen bile production
  • Increase hydration levels to flush toxins from your blood
  • Reduce your viral load by removing the foods that feed pathogens

What Are The Best Foods And Supplements For Blood Clot Prevention?

  • Foods with an aspirin-like effect, like asparagus.
  • Anti-pathogenic foods and herbs – the Holy Four…fruits, vegetables, herbs & spices, & wild foods.
  • Liver strengthening foods, like apples.
  • Oxygenating foods, like leafy greens.
  • Blood building foods, like pomegranates.
  • Foods that disperse fats, like ginger.
  • Foods that strengthen bile, like celery juice.

Cardamom contains several compounds that help prevent blood clots from forming.

Clove Oil is beneficial for the circulatory system and is a potent platelet inhibitor which helps prevent blood clots.

Reishi is a vital supplement that helps prevent blood clots while calming the nervous system and bringing balance and stability back to the body.

Onions are the richest food source of quercetin which is a potent antioxidant that has been shown to help prevent blood clots.

Grapes are able to help prevent blood clots due to their ability to increase nitric oxide levels in the blood, thus providing excellent protection for the heart and cardiovascular system.

Hawthorn Berry is widely used to help prevent blood clots…it also helps people with congestive heart failure, angina, cardiac arrhythmia, myocarditis, and more.

Pomegranates act like a natural aspirin in the body helping to prevent blood clots.

Eggplant thins out dirty blood filled with fats and poisons, which can stop blood clots from occurring inside your veins and eases the heart too so that it doesn’t overwork as it pumps.

Sweet Violet contains a significant amount of rutin and salicylic acid which act similarly to aspirin and are useful in helping to prevent blood clots.

Garlic is antiviral, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, and rich in the phytochemical allicin, a sulfur compound that prevents disease.

Turmeric is amazing for everything in our bodies as it contains curcumin, a phytochemical with anti-inflammatory properties.  It also contains powerful compounds that help increase the blood supply to areas of the body that need enhanced circulation, thus helping to prevent blood clots.

Vitamin C improves the immune system and the white blood cell count, thus helping the body to fight pathogens which allows the blood to flow more freely.

The common misconception that we “need” a diet high in fats in order to thrive is very dangerous. The reality is that there is fat in EVERY fruit, vegetable, and herb…they all contain traces of fat that the body assimilates and uses. I am not suggesting you have to remove overt fats all together (although you can), but lowering your fat consumption and removing foods that feed pathogens will help ensure that you avoid the risk of blood clots in the future.

There is a lot of fear in this current climate, particularly around our health. But if we can all begin to focus on nurturing our bodies with real foods that heal, both our minds and bodies will be strengthened.

Thank uou Muneeza for such a clear explanation and the list of foods that help in this case. This takes away fear. When we know the truth, there is no room for fear.

Excellent! Thank you!

Hi Muneeza,
I have been following the MM protocols for about 2 years. In June, I took out all fats from diet (didn’t have much in before that) for about 6 weeks or so. I had the mrna covid vaccine during that time too. After that, I rapidly lost a lot of weight (underweight) and veins visible mainly on legs/knees since. I don’t know if that is an effect of the vaccine, but do you have any suggestions if getting the covid vaccine (what to do before and after the doses). Any particular additional supplements? To prevent any nerve or vein issues from the vaccine? Thank you kindly for all that you do. Blessings!

This is such a useful and timely article. Which things are best to take to reduce clotting during periods?

Thank you This article was to the point and easy to understand.

Thank you Great information.

Thank you Muneeza, so easy to understand for everyone, empowers people and takes away the fear.
