Tea Time Scones
This is such a versatile recipe that can be paired with any combination of your choice. Personally, I love warm scones with fresh berries and a little bit of coconut cream.

Ingredients

ground almonds (almond meal)*
1 ¼
cup
gluten free all purpose flour

tsp
baking powder
¼
tsp
baking soda

tbsp
lemon juice
2
tbsp
maple syrup
1
cup
unsweetened almond milk or light coconut milk

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
Add the milk a little bit at a time until dough has a play dough type consistency.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Use an ice cream scooper to scoop out 8-10 even scones.
Bake at 350 F for 18-20 minutes until browned.
Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
Serve with tea time scones with coconut yogurt or
coconut cream
and
wild blueberry jam
